Demand & Inventory Planner Full-time (m/f/d)
We are looking for you to join our team at our cable plant in Däniken (Herrenmatt facility)!
As a Demand & Inventory Planner, you will play a central role in our supply chain organization. You will serve as the link between sales, production planning, and manufacturing, ensuring that our cable products are available at the right time, in the right quantities, and in configurations that meet market demands. Through your analyses and strategic recommendations, you will actively influence our production decisions, inventory strategies, and the market approach of our sales organization.
Your day at Studer Cables:
- Strategic demand planning for cable production based on sales forecasts, lead times, and safety stock
- Further development and maintenance of the rolling forecast: establishing and analyzing statistical foundations, as well as working closely with the market teams to coordinate sales trends
- Definition and optimization of inventory strategies (reorder points, safety stock, inventory categories) while taking into account production parameters and market requirements
- Ongoing item-based inventory management, including ensuring warehouse hygiene and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Monthly reports and performance analyses for the entire product range—to inform decision-making in SCM, sales, and production
- Active coordination between sales, planning, and production to identify forecast variances, market changes, and production bottlenecks early on and develop solutions
- Strategic Development of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Evaluation and implementation of the forecasting tool in conjunction with the rollout of the new ERP system
You are:
- Basic technical or commercial training followed by further education to become a certified process specialist (FA) or a certified industrial engineer (HF)
- Experience in a similar role, ideally with a background in demand planning and production planning
- A strong understanding of data analysis and AI, combined with a strong focus on implementation
- Strong communication skills and a passion for cross-functional collaboration
- An open, flexible, and independent person with a hands-on approach
- Very good written and spoken German skills
We are:
- Respectful, open, uncomplicated and trust each other
- Motivating and cooperative in our dealings
- Challenging, but also encouraging in the sense of responsibility
- Future-oriented and indispensable in the megatrends of energy transition, mobility and sustainability
- Up-to-date in terms of employment conditions (e.g., working from home and other benefits)
- At home in Däniken (S-Bahn connection every half hour and free parking)
We are all pulling on the same cable!
